“I'd say we've had half-a-dozen conversations with players who are available, and we have submitted offers for a similar number of others who are contracted to other clubs. We're expecting feedback on them on a daily basis really.” Barker said.
“We are still inside what is notoriously a slow period in terms of deals. There are still players and agents away on holiday, especially as it is half-term. Most people will generally recognise that throughout the leagues, it is pretty slow going at the minute."
“Not a lot has happened at any club really, some of which is a result of the play-offs only coming to an end last weekend. With the play-offs done and dusted, and half-term finishing at the end of the week, we'll hopefully see some of the dozen or so conversations start to bear fruit."
