Butler recieved a knee injury after colliding with Gary Montgomery during training. The injury required surgery, which at first feared could have put the striker out of action for upto 4 months.

But the good news is that the damage wasnt as bad as it could have been, but he will still be out for around 6 weeks, and then catch up on the pre-season work he's missed.

"Losing 'Butts' is a massive blow but it is now up to someone else to take their chance. Players, in any position, who get their chance must take it. If not then it's up to me to do something about it." Moore told todays Rotherham Star.

Taking Butlers place?
Will Hoskins and Richie Barker are the options to play up-front alongside Michael Proctor, with Barker the natural replacement for Butler.

Barker scored in Saturdays win over League 2 team Boston United who are taking on Paul Gascoigne as player-coach.

The Millers were trailing 1-0 at half-time, but hit back after the restart with Barker scoring on 51 minutes and Chris Swailes heading the winner in the 81st minute, Rotherham had chances to win the game with Will Hoskins hitting the upright.

Team: Pollitt (Montgomery 46), Stockdale (Scott 64), Swailes, Gichrist (S.Barker 64), Hurst, Sedgwick (Duncum 81), Mullin (Vernazza 59), Garner, Warne, Proctor (Hoskins 64), R. Barker
