Barker makes Bloomfield Rd switch.

Barker who was out of contract with the Millers at the end of last season, turned down 2 offers from us and opted to join Blackpool on the advice of his agent.
Barkers agent then also claimed that the Millers would not get a penny compensation for the 23 year old due to technicalitys, however the transfer tribunal which was set for last week was postponed until last August, leaving the player unable to play.
However, Blackpool were left reeling with the loss of thier captain Peter Clarke to Southend Utd - just 4 days before the start of the season.
To help sooth thier supporters loss, Blackpool have decided to settle the Barker deal with Rotherham without going to the tribunal. The fee however has not been disclosed..... again.
Barker played over 120 times for the Millers and has signed a 2 year deal at Bloomfield Rd. He will now be clear to play against us when the two sides meet at Blackpool next Saturday.
