The Millers have turned down a bid for midfielder Lee Williamson today, the bid from an un-named championship club was not in line with the Millers valuation of the 24 year old.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield, boss Alan Knill said, "Theres lots of speculation about Lee, and there always will be. In my mind Lee is one of if not the best midfielder in the division."

"We've coped with the speculation all summer and now the transfer deadline closes at 12 o'clock and if hes still a Rotherham United player then fantastic."

"There's been intrest. I believe we've turned down an offer from an un-named Championship club which didnt meet our valuation. We will wait till midnight and hopefully the phone wont ring, however should an offer come in before the deadline and its a club that I think will help his progress then we will have to listen to it."
