Andy ScottDespite initially saying that Andy Liddell and Paul Warne would take caretaker charge of team matters until the end of the season, chairman Tony Stewart has acted swiftly to bring in Andy Scott as first team manager.

Scott has signed a 3 year contract and has taken charge of the team with immediate effect..

The 38 year old former striker spent just over three years as Brentford manager, taking them up as Champions from league 2 in 2008/09, he was sacked in Febuary after a run of poor results leaving Brentford 18th in League 1.

Speaking to the clubs official website, chairman Tony Stewart said; "In our pursuit to realise our ambition we will always put the best interests of Rotherham United Football Club at the forefront of any decision and I am confident that the appointment of Andy Scott is consistent with that thought process and strategy as we look to continue to develop and progress this club on our journey forward,"

"Andy, myself and the Board of Directors will work closely together relentlessly in our endeavour to climb upwards through the Football League. I would like to express my genuine gratitude to the work and effort that both Paul Warne and Andy Liddell have put into team affairs, two fantastic guys that we all think the world of."

All at MillersMAD Wishes Andy all the best of luck...
