Alf's good for 25.... but can be better!! - Moore

Speaking in todays Advertiser, boss Ronnie Moore is looking to Alf to become a greedier striker, and although he heaps praise on the 22 year old, Moore is wanting more.

"Le Fondre's scoring ratio is very good but they've come in singles while he's been here. I want to see him go on to get two and three in games. If you score early on then there's a hat-trick on as far as I'm concerned and there's nothing nicer than taking the ball home."

"The lad is a proven goal scorer and they're worth their weight in gold but I want to improve his work outside the box. All the top strikers play on the shoulder of the defender. With his pace and a little bit more know-how, he can become better."

Moore looked back to last Saturdays defeat at Bury, where Alf missed a couple of chances; "Adam was disappointed with his two chances, The first one he could have done anything he wanted with, but it will come for him."

"Our delivery in from set plays is magnificent and we should get more from them. Then again, we overhit one or two corners at Bury and we shouldn't be doing that."

"To be successful, you need someone to get 25 goals—and Le Fondre will get that. Then you need the second striker to get ten or 15, a centre-half to get seven or eight from set plays and then your midfielders to chip in as well," Moore added.
