Alf speaks about new contract talks.

"I've been waiting for the gaffer to pull me over and talk about the contract but I'll just take it as it goes, it takes care of itself really." Alf told Radio Sheffield tonight.

"I'll play it by ear, I'm perfectly happy with my football so it's perfectly fine, it won't get in the way of anything. It won't get in the way of anything if it (the talks) drag on, I'm not the sort of player who lets things affect him like that." he added.

Alf was asked about any possible clauses he would like in the contract; "We've already got an agreement with the club that if a Championship club came calling for me and it suited both parties that I could go and speak to them and I would like to keep something like that as I would like to play as high as possible, but my main aim is to score the goals for Rotherham." Adam replied.

Le Fondre was asked about the constant speculation recently; "I don't listen to paper talk, rumours and internet warriors and stuff, it's just one of those things where you've just got to get on with it. Your paid to play football and I'm happy to do that and score goals."

Alf looked to tomorrows game against Burton Albion; "Burton are a tough outfit to be fair, last season they were a bit unlucky to lose at thier place but we played one of our best games, at home we should have beat them but they showed some stern stuff to come back from 2 nil down to get a draw."

"With Stanno I know from Rochdale, he's a good player but he's injured this weekend, they've got Darren Moore in, they've strengthened well and they look a decent team this season." he added.

"I'd fancy myself against any defender in this league, no different against Burton and great respect to Darren Moore who's had a great career but I honestly think that if I get ball to feet like I did against Shrewsbury then I'll cause more damage and wont be stopped."

"If we give a performance like we did in the second half against Shrewsbury then I think the result will take care of itself, if we play like that every week then we won't be far off the top three." he added.

"Last season games like Hereford where we've won this season we would have drew, We've become more sterner, we're a bit more workmanlike and grinding out results more, and I think thats what you have to do in this league. Take your chances when they come and thats what I'm here for."
