Alf needs to be more selfish- Moore

Alfie claimed his 24th of the season at Burton last Saturday and is up for League Two player of the month for February.

Le Fondre is also chasing Alan Crawford's modern day record of 31 goals,

set in the 1976/77 season.

But despite his prolific tally, Moore told the Tiser that he wants his golden boy to push on even more.

"The thing with Le Fondre is, he's fantastic in the box and once we improve his out-of-the-box work then he'll be even better. There's a player-and-a-half in there.

"Trying to find goal scorers is so difficult but he's a natural" added Moore.

Alfie faces competition from Northampton forward Bayo Akinfenwa, and Bury and Chessie goalkeepers Wayne Brown and Tommy Lee for the monthly award. The winner is announced on Sky's Soccer AM tomorrow from 9am.
