Talking to todays Advertiser, the gaffer said; “When I came Rotherham, at first it was in the balance whether we were going to sign Kieran. I remember he was very impressive off the bench in a pre-season friendly against Doncaster last year but that didn't convince me enough. Then I saw him in training for a couple of days and told Paul Raynor I had a gut feeling this kid could be important to us."
“Arguably, in the last six weeks of last season, he was our most important player. When he takes his top off, he's built like a tank, and he has that little bit of devilment inside him. He wants to score goals and he is a first class young man the way he conducts himself."
