The win over Swindon was vital to our hopes of staying up in League 1 and has been deemed by the Association of Football Statisticians as the Performance of the Week.

A statement give to the club's official site, says "Following the announcement of their financial problems, they have responded in magnificent fashion and, with two wins in the last week, we are pleased to announce that ROTHERHAM UNITED are the latest winners of the AFS Performance of the Week award.

"As ever in such circumstances, the football world has rallied round. The Millers players have offered their full backing and have instigated talks with the PFA and insolvency experts with a view to the deferral of their wages."

"Of course, nothing can bring more supporters back through the turnstiles better than a winning team and two wins in the last week have been a timely boost."

And on a personal note, the MillersMAD Player of the Season leader, Midfielder Lee Williamson made it into the Football League's team of the week for League 1. He was joined by former Millers Paul Warne and Nathan Lowndes.

But on a down note, Williamson also picked up his 10th booking of the season and will have to sit out the next two games, both at home against Chesterfield and Oldham.

Will it affect his chances to pick up the MM Player of the Season award?
