A tale of 2 strikers.

While Adam Le Fondre has been banging the goals in for fun this season, the same can't be said for his partner on Sunday Ryan Taylor who has struggled, but having come back from loan at Exeter, looks a better player for it.

Speaking to the 'Tiser Moore said of Alfie; "It's just a pity that, having got 30 goals this season, he couldn't get one in the play-off final. I don't think he had a shot which is unusual for someone of Alfie's ability."

"As a striker, sometimes it works for you and sometimes it doesn't. He worked hard enough but it just didn't fall his way and you can't put your finger on why. He's 23 and he's had all the pressure of scoring goals for this club because no-one else has been doing it. On another day at Wembley he might have got a hat-trick. I'm not criticising him. I'm just saying the opportunities fell for Ryan and he took them."

When asked if there had been any intrest in Adam's services Ronnie said; "We've not had one enquiry, No-one has ever rung me and asked if we are willing to sell and that's strange when you consider he has got the goals he has. I won't be upset if my phone doesn't ring about Alf, don't worry about that."

Meanwhile Moore praised Ryan Taylor; "I'm gutted for him, To score two goals in a Wembley playoff final and lose is awful."

"He has grown up, He missed an early chance and the Ryan Taylor of six months ago would have wilted. This time he didn't. I have always said there's a player there. He's been our best player in training in the time I've been here but you have to do it on the big stage. They don't come much bigger than Wembley, the days of his stage fright have gone."
