Millers v Reading Head2Head & early team news

One thing is for sure, Reading will be looking for revenge after the Millers 5-1 romp in the last meeting between the two clubs. That day saw Michael Proctor make his Millers debut and marked it with 2 goals. Ex-Royal Martin Butler also got on the scoresheet.

Obviously Butler will be missing this weekend, but Ronnie will be hoping that

Ankle injury

Proctor and the other forwards will re-discover thier shooting boots with only 2 goals scored, both by Paul Shaw in our 3 games so far.

Also missing could be Phil Gilchrist, who is struggling with an ankle injury and hasnt trained since Tuesday where he pulled out of training. Young Shaun Barker will be looking to make his first appearance of the season, and will be partnering Chris Swaile should Gilchrist fail to be fit.

New signing Paul McLaren could well be in the squad, but probably start on the bench as the reserves game on Tuesday night was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Millmoor, leaving the Midfielder short of match fitness after his injury lay-off.
