Footymad preview History of the Gillingham v Rotherham United fixture

Rotherham United face a trip to Gillingham at Priestfield Stadium on Tuesday evening, needing to turn around their fortunes at the ground. The Millers will be hoping to improve upon an awful record which has seen them lose 15 and win only 3 of the 25 games, the last back in 1988.

The most recent encounter between these two sides in Kent was around this time last year, with Gillingham running out comfortable 3-1 winners.

The Millers won the reverse fixture this season 3-0 back in August.

Team News ...

The Millers may make one or two changes due to the busy fixture schedule but after taking 7 points in a week, Andy Scott has no new injury concerns.

Gareth Evans is still not ready to return. Richard Naylor may make way in defence whilst Lewis Grabban could come back into the starting line up.

Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler is running the rule over trialists Rohan Ricketts and Jonathan Fortune and after ringing the changes at Port Vale with skipper Andy Frampton missing, could keep faith with the likes of young Simon King at the back.

Garry Richards and Joe Martin will be hoping fo recalls though.

Dennis Oli and Matt Lawrence have been told they an leave the club.
