Footymad preview History of the Rotherham United v Macclesfield Town fixture

Rotherham United prepare to entertain Macclesfield Town at Don Valley Stadium on Tuesday evening as both sides go into the clash with new men in their hotseats.

Macc parted company with Gary Simpson on Sunday and have named Brian Horton as boss until the end of the season, as he returns for his second spell in charge to try and guide the club away from the relegation zone.

The Millers will be led by Patterson, the former assistant to the sacked Andy Scott who lost his job yesterday.

Rotherham should have high hopes of improving on their record against the opposition, having managed to conjure up a win from 5 of the previous 7 games on home soil. The Silkmen are without a win in 16 games and have the worst away record in the division, with 13 defeats and only 12 goals scored.
