History of the Chesterfield v Rotherham United fixture

Rotherham face a trip to Chesterfield on Tuesday evening, and have come away with little in previous meetings, having been beaten a depressing 22 out of 31 times.

The most recent encounter between these two sides was just last season, in September 2008, the Spireites carving out a narrow 1 - 0 victory in a League Two match with Alan Goodall's last minute winner proving the difference.

Team News..
John Sheridan should welcome back Jack Lester for the home side after three games out with injury.

Hamstring injuries to Wade Small and former Miller Ian Breckin look set to rule them out whilst Phil Picken is also likely to miss out.

Jamie Lowry, Gregor Robertson and Drew Talbot are all missing long term. Midfielder Ian Morris has returned to Scunthorpe United after his loan spell.

Striker Scott Boden could be asked to play wide right to make way for Lester's return to partner Barry Conlon.

The Millers could welcome back Nick Fenton after suspension and also Dale Tonge to right back in place of Marc Joseph.

Tom Pope is set to continue upfront with Adam Le Fondre with new signing Gavin Gunning continuing at left back.
