Back to Hotel

Andy P offered to clean the kit overnight and we are extremely thankful to his late night efforts to ensure we had clean dry kits for the Sunday. First part of Dazzas 40th birthday present was secure with IMFC topping the group. With hungry stomachs we all trundled back to the hotel and got ready for a Chinese meal and a few beers.

Yorkshire Cricket

After a quick shower the Elliott’s and Adam made their way up to Jebu and Kim’s room. Nope it wasn’t for a TGR session, it was to watch the end of the cricket at Headingley over a few bottles of Grolsch. To round the day nicely Yorkshire gained victory with us watching the last 5 wickets fall out of the room window. Before coming up to the room the Elliott’s had tried every trick in the book to sneak into Headingley but the stewards were having none of it!

The perfect draw

With no disrespect to certain teams but the qualifiers for the Worldnet Cup were all very strong bar a few teams we have beat pretty comfortably in the past. We all had a few ideas of what the perfect draw would be but we were ready to take on anybody. By winning the group we avoided a few big names like QPR, Millwall, Fulham, Swindon. An 11pm kick off would be perfect and most of the lads would have liked to have drawn Lincoln due to past results against them. All our Xmas’ seemed to come at once as the draw came out as we had Lincoln at 11pm on pitch A. We were soon to find out the day after than underestimating any team in Worldnet is a very, very bad idea.
