Man in the Middle - Notts County

Last updated : 15 October 2009 By Duke

…..Carl Boyeson from East Yorkshire. Not the best in my experience!

Carl was promoted to the National List of assistant referees in 1996, and became a National List referee in 2002.

This is Carl's second visit to the Don Valley Stadium, he was referee for the Millers game with Port Vale, when Marc Joseph was red-carded for a crazy first-half blunder.

The red card came when keeper David Stockdale, on loan from Fulham, rolled the ball to Joseph, but as he dithered Vale striker Kyle Perry nipped in and stole the ball.

Despite being down to ten men the Millers grabbed all three points when Drewe Broughton came off the bench to score a 67th minute winner.

In his eight games this season Carl has shown 16 Yellows and 1 Red card.

Running the lines will be Robert Jones (Merseyside) along with Ross Joyce (Cleveland)

The Fourth Official is Kevin Mattocks (Lancashire)
