Steve has only been refereeing at a professional level for one previous season prior to this one, and took charge of the Millers away games at Shrewsbury and Barnet last year.

This season he stood in the Millers game at Hereford at the end of August, when Paul Warne netted the only goal of the afternoon, booking 9 players, his highest individual game tally thus far.

Steve has stood in 27 games this season in total, 10 of them in League Two, issuing 88 yellows and 4 red cards.

His last game at this level was Bradford's 2-0 win over Gillingham on 5th March and he also reffed Sheffield Wednesday's weekend game at Dagenham, booking six players.

Running the lines on Saturday at Don Valley will be Mr M. Denton and D. Hanley (both Lancashire).
