Man in the Middle - Aldershot Town

Last updated : 13 May 2010 By Duke

Andy D'Urso from Essex, who'll be no stranger to you!

Andy became a member of the National List of Assistant Referees in 1990, and was promoted to the National list of Referees in 1994. The FA Charity Shield, the FA Youth Cup Final, and the League One Play Off Final in 2007, are some of the higher profile games he has been referee of.

The 2005/06 season is the last time Andy was in the middle for a Millers game, that being the 3-0 win at Millmoor over Gillingham.

A generator failed leaving the ground with no power but minutes before the start a replacement ensured the match went ahead, obviously lighting up a great Millers display!

After dominating the first half, Paul McLaren put the home side ahead in the first minute of the second-half, with Deon Burton and Martin Butler adding goals late on.

This season Andy has issued 102 Yellow, and 3 Red cards in his 35 games in the middle, mainly higher up the football league pyramid.

Running the lines will be Tony Mason (Kent) along Marvin Thompson (Middlesex)

The Fourth Official is Graham Scott (Oxfordshire)

All Southern officials then, nice one....
