Masta_2009 has had a rollercoaster season and can take pride with his second place finish. It looked at one point that Masta might sneak in at first place as he overhauled a huge lead that Gino held but he suffered from poor form and failed to capitalise. He should not be too disappointed though as he has performed admirably after a rather long post holiday slump in form. Well done Masta.
Blockheads must be sat at home scratching his head and thinking "Why oh why did I not enter every week?". This kid has finished an impressive first but he has won a weekly round no less than 5 times (including this week). That is good work indeed and he must be proud but ruing missed opportunities at the same time. Well played Blockheads.
Markthemiller, as predicted, finished with a whimper and finished out of the top five. It all started so well for Mark claiming the first ever weekly win but unfortunately that was as good as it got. The rot was set in, coupled with low confidence and the inability to perform on doubles weeks Mark's season fast became unimportant. Not only has he suffered on the field of play, Mark has taken an absolute battering in these reviews and at times he has had his feelings hurt. Although complaining and moaning like a little baby, he continued to enter week after week and for that we are truly thankful and impressed. Fair game Mark.
It's been a solid season for several other people. The_Dark_Horse and Stevelmu09 are in the same boat as Blockheads in that they both secured numerous weekly wins but their poor attendance record hindered any chance of winning. Uttis had a very good consistent season and sneaked in at 5th place. Well done boys.
Now there is a common train of thought that women are just not funny and UFO has done nothing to disprove this theory. She just didn't get the hang of the competition and never really received any high scores of note. However, she showed some balls as she kept entering every week despite never even threatening to be funny and that earnt her a top ten finish. So hats off to Foo.
Bagara's_Whistle will be the happiest going in to the summer break. He did not enter until two thirds of the competition had passed but his form in the short time he was involved was enough to get him a top 20 finish, which is impressive. He scored highly week after week and must really fancy his chances of breaking in to the top three when we return next season.
We would love to give everyone a mention but there has been over 80 entrants over the course of the season so we ain't got time. As the curtain closes on this epic competition, we would just like to say a few thank yous. First of all thanks to the judges. Despite being called cheats and corrupts (by Gino) they have judged fairly and on time, for which we are grateful and looking forward to working with them again. The next thanks is for Vital. They provided such an inept caption competition that the people kept entering ours in their droves. So cheers like. The last and biggest thanks is for all 80 plus users who have logged on and entered. You all contributed to making the competition a success and also helped with racking the hits up!
