At the top it's been all over for a while and we asked this last week but we're going to keep asking it: Can Gino be crowned a true champion if he hasn't even registered a weekly win? There has to be some doubt about that! With the competition ending for the season at Week 25, Gino has nine weeks to prove that this won't be a hollow victory.
All the attention is on the chase for second place and Masta_2009 and The_Dark_Horse are trading blows. Last week it was Mr Horsie that won the weekly winner and he closed the gap on Masta, who has responded this week in fine style by winning the week. We think it may be his second weekly win, we're not sure off the top of our heads and we can't be bothered to have a look. But to make it even more interesting, Horsie came to the party as well and was the joint second highest scorer of the week. At this minute, it's just too tight to call and it may come down to a battle of nerves in the doubles and run ins.
It was honours even in the 'Rivalry Watch' as Zipadeedoodah and the impatient S64miller both scored average marks and unless something drastic happens it looks like Zippy will win that little battle and will S64 will be forced to buy him drinks. If that is to change, S64 needs to understand the importance of Week 20 doubles and hope Zippy has an off day. The other member of this watch, 1884, seems to be having trouble turning up. Not a good start and he languishes lonely in midtable mediocrity.
UFO, the only woman in the competition, has slipped out of the top ten in recent weeks, thus proving that women just cannot be funny. It is ironic that she has actually started scoring decent marks since she has lost her top ten spot, which only goes to highlight her poor scores in the early rounds.
Scunnymiller has to be close to the top of the form guide and his biggest regret will have to be joining the competition late. He is a heavy scorer, if not a little impatient. He has missed his chance for a pop at a top ten finish but will hope that he could cash in on a weekly win.
What a start for Bagaraswhistle. He clearly needs to touch up on his knowledge on the history of Rotherham United managers, but he knows how to enter a caption and an opening score of 32 is magical and would have got him a weekly win in round one.
