Getting there from M1 North, exit at J28 and head south on A38 towards Derby. Exit A38 at Burton North A5121. Continue over roundabout past McDonalds and turn right at next traffic island, ground on right.

The stadium:
Layout

For a mere £6.4 million, Burton Albion now have one of the best venues for watching football in the lower leagues. Three sides of the ground are fully covered tiered terracing, whilst the 2,000 seated main stand runs the whole length of the pitch.

The acoustics of the ground mean that even a small crowd can generate a good atmosphere.

Away fans are located in the Coors Stand (East Stand). This is a covered terraced area which has good views from all areas and houses around 1,200. The design of the stand means that there are no pillars obstructing the view. Seating is also made available to visiting supporters in the main stand (300).

Refreshment facilities are located at the rear of each stand with food, hot and cold drinks and alcoholic beverages all available.

Parking:

There is a large car park at the ground, cost £2. There is also parking available at the Ryknild Trading Estate just off Derby Road (now also £2), and plenty of free street parking.

By rail:
Don't be conned by National Rail into paying over 20 quid for a return from Rotherham, we advise a Rotherham to Sheffield return for £2.60 then buying a Derbyshire Wayfairer ticket (see link below) for £8.90 between Sheffield and Burton.

Food and drink:

The old Football Tavern has gone along with the rest of the Eton Park but there are bars inside the ground, however segregation now means that opposing fans can no longer mingle before the game. If you like your beer in a plastic cup then this is the place for you. There a number of pubs within easy walking distance of the ground and lots of real ale pubs if you're going by train to pop into on the 1.2 mile walk.

The recommended venues are The Roebuck, for real ale just near the station, Burton Bridge Brewery's the Great Northern and The Beech Inn.

For food, there is a McDonalds on the Derby Road a couple of minutes past The Beech Inn, whilst the nearest chip shop is a 10 minute walk across the road, through Eton Park rec and the council estate.

It's Pay on the day, no advance tickets on sale, we wish you a safe jounrey.
